In a statement to the press following a meeting held at the International University of Rabat (UIR) to present the state of progress of the “Video Game Creator” training program, Dati, who was accompanied by Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, praised Morocco’s efforts to promote this industry and strengthen the skills of young Moroccans in this field.
She also reaffirmed France’s commitment to promoting cultural cooperation with the Kingdom to the benefit of both countries, noting that meetings focusing on the cultural field are planned for 2026.
Dati pointed out that this win-win cooperation would benefit both Moroccan and French economies, “but also an entire ecosystem extending beyond the borders” of the two countries.
For his part, Bensaid emphasized the importance of the partnership between Morocco and France in the gaming industry, highlighting the role of the “Video Game Creator” program, launched in partnership with “ISART DIGITAL”, the world’s second best school for electronic game development, the UIR and the French Embassy, in promoting young Moroccans’ gaming skills, with the aim of making Morocco “a pioneer in the gaming field”.
“The video games sector offers many opportunities that we absolutely must benefit from as a Moroccan economy, which requires well-trained human resources”, he emphasized.
He added that “thanks to our partnership with France, Moroccan students have been able to benefit from training focused on the world of gaming”, noting that the Kingdom has become an attractive destination for many international start-ups keen to invest in this sector.
