Morocco, São Tomé and Príncipe Sign New Cooperation Roadmap for 2025-2027

This Roadmap, signed by the two ministers, will expand cooperation into new sectors, notably education, training, multisectoral technical cooperation, and the promotion of economic exchanges and investments, as highlighted in a Joint Statement released after the meeting.

It will also enhance economic promotion actions to develop the partnership between the two countries in these priority areas.

In the same vein, the two ministers reaffirmed their shared commitment to making Morocco-São Tomé and Príncipe relations an exceptional model of inter-African cooperation, based on the values of solidarity, exchange, trust, and sharing.

They also praised the progress in bilateral economic relations. In this regard, Bourita reiterated the Kingdom of Morocco’s readiness to support São Tomé and Príncipe in the socio-economic sectors it prioritizes to become an emerging country by 2030.

Regarding regional and international issues of common interest, Bourita and Amado Vaz noted with satisfaction their alignment on the various matters discussed, praising the ongoing efforts of Morocco, under the wise and enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, and the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe, under the guidance of President H.E. Mr. Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, in favor of peace and development on the African continent.

Morocco and São Tomé and Príncipe signed a new Cooperation Roadmap for the 2025-2027 period on Thursday in Rabat, following a bilateral meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation, and Communities of São Tomé and Príncipe, Ilza Maria dos Santos Amado Vaz.
