Lieutenant General, FAR Inspector General and Commander of South Zone Receives Mauritanian Minister of Defense

The meeting was an opportunity to examine several key issues with a view to strengthening military cooperation between the two countries and to explore new prospects for cooperation in the fields of defense, according to a press release from the FAR General Staff.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the depth and solidity of military relations between the two neighboring countries, in light of the challenges and issues facing the region.

The two officials also underlined their shared commitment to enshrining military cooperation ties and propelling them to the height of the two countries’ aspirations.

On High Instructions of His Majesty the King, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the FAR and Commander of the South Zone, received on Friday in Marrakech Mauritanian Minister of Defense Hanena Ould Sidi, accompanied by Major General Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ould Boyda, Chief of Staff of Mauritanian Islamic Air Force, on the sidelines of Marrakech Air Show 2024.
