“Today’s joint economic commission will be an opportunity to review bilateral relations in the fields of economy, culture, tourism, health, agriculture, and energy, among others,” stated Hungary’s Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, in charge offor External Economic Affairs, Katalin Bihari, in a press statement following a meeting with Fouad Yazourh, Ambassador Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, held as part of the commission’s work.
Overlapping with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, this commission represents a key milestone in highlighting bilateral relations and paving the way for strategic alliances, said Bahari.
Regarding trade relations, Bihari emphasized that in 2023, Morocco was Hungary’s major trading partner on the African continent.
She also noted that a delegation of businesspeople will be in Casablanca to discuss opportunities of mutual interest between businesses and organizations, as well as to explore avenues for collaboration aimed at boosting economic and commercial exchanges between the two countries.
The 5th Morocco-Hungary Joint Economic Commission is a strategic opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and explore new partnership prospects in key sectors.
