The first technical cooperation program covers support for the formulation of a roadmap for the sustainable development of livestock farming and the drafting of a new law on livestock farming in Morocco.

The second technical cooperation program concerns the modernization of the use and management of agricultural statistics for more informed decision-making in Morocco.

The third project aims to prevent and mitigate the impact of transboundary zoonoses with pandemic potential, by modernizing the online platforms of FAO’s Global Animal Disease Information System and its mobile application “EMPRES.”

The fourth project provides for adopting a progressive biosecurity management approach for land animals.

A partnership agreement was also signed between the Ministry and the Interprofessional Federation of the Poultry to support rural women affected by the Al-Haouz earthquake, covering the construction and equipping of three free-range chicken egg production units for three women’s cooperatives.

This agreement aims to support rural women’s cooperatives affected by the Al-Haouz earthquake by providing them with essential resources to relaunch their poultry production activities.

Several projects and programs were sealed, here Wednesday, between Morocco’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Forests and the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), on the sidelines of the 44th World Food Day.
