In a press release, the ministry said it had sighted the crescent moon after the Al Maghrib prayer on Sunday, the 29th of Ramadan 1446 A.H, corresponding to March 30, 2025. It confirmed that this sighting marked the beginning of the month of Shaoual 1446 H.
Thus, the first day of Shawwal 1446 H, Eid al-Fitr, will be Monday, March 31, 2025, the ministry noted.
