Malawi Keen to Benefit from Moroccan Experience in Transport, Logistics – Minister

In a statement to the press following his visit to the Training Center (CMC), Hara stated that his country aspires to send Malawian trainers to Morocco, in order to acquire the necessary skills in the transport and logistics sectors.

“This training will help us further professionalize our practices in these sectors, and improve road safety in our country”, the Malawian official continued.

In this vein, he expressed his admiration for the training provided in the logistics and transport sectors at this vocational training establishment, noting that this is an opportunity for Malawi in the transport planning and management training curriculum.

He then praised Morocco’s support for Malawi, particularly through mentoring and vocational training opportunities offered to Malawian trainees in the Southern provinces.

He was also “impressed” by the quality of infrastructure and development projects in various fields.

Accompanying the Malawian Minister on his visit were Malawian Consul General in Laâyoune Kennedy Lweya, Secretary General of the Malawian Ministry of Transport and Public Works Madalo Nyambose, as well as Morocco’s Regional Director of the National Road Safety Agency (NARSA) in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Omar Boudani, and Regional Director of Equipment, Transport and Logistics El Jaoui Rachid.

During their stay, members of the Malawian delegation will pay several visits to different development projects in Laâyoune.

On February 18-20, Malawi’s Minister of Transport and Public Works Jacob Hara, took part in the 4th Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety held in Marrakech.
