During a meeting with the Director-General of the Regional Investment Center (CRI), Mohamed Jifer, the São Toméan Minister and her accompanying delegation learned about the investment opportunities, infrastructure, and various productive sectors in the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region.
They were also informed about the achievements and ongoing projects implemented under the new development model for the southern provinces of the Kingdom, launched by His Majesty King Mohammed VI in 2015.
This visit was also an opportunity to highlight the investments made in several promising sectors in the region, including fisheries, agriculture, tourism, and renewable energy. The Minister also explored major infrastructure projects and the existing potential in the transport and communications sectors.
In a statement to the press, Minister Amado Vaz reiterated her country’s unwavering support for Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over its entire territory, including the Sahara region. She further noted that the major projects underway in the region reflect the strategic and visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
She also highlighted that this visit provided an opportunity to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields.
