Organized by the Moroccan Consulate General in Madrid and Moroccan associations, the event showcased Morocco’s cultural heritage in all its richness and diversity, with traditional Amazigh artistic performances.

Speaking on the occasion, the Kingdom’s Consul General in Madrid Kamal Arifi emphasized that the initiative strived to highlight Morocco’s Amazigh heritage and to promote it through cultural and artistic activities.

The celebration of the Amazigh New Year by all Moroccans as an official national holiday reflects the High Royal concern for Amazigh culture and heritage, as well as the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, to consolidate the place of Amazigh culture in various fields, he noted.

Guests at these celebrations had the opportunity to enjoy the richness and specificities of Moroccan Amazigh culture through musical performances and a tasting session of authentic Amazigh dishes.

A festive evening was held Friday evening in Madrid in celebration of the Amazigh New Year 2975, with a view to promoting this heritage and enshrining the values of the Kingdom's cultural diversity.
