The Kingdom of Morocco is a “leading and supportive country” in Africa, particularly in development cooperation, and Ghana’s new position comes at just the right time to boost bilateral relations, Owusu told MAP on the sidelines of the 8th General Assembly of the Atlantic Federation of African Press Agencies (FAAPA) held on Wednesday and Thursday in Salé.

According to Owusu, Accra’s new position further strengthens the ties between the two countries, consolidating their partnership which extends into many areas, including mining, agriculture, higher education, engineering and power generation.

The 8th General Assembly of FAAPA aims to shed light on ways to promote and strengthen African health sovereignty to better face future challenges.

This two-day assembly, held under the theme “African News Agencies as a Vehicle for Promoting the Continent’s Health Sovereignty”, brings together Directors-General of several African news agencies, alongside media and health experts, as well as distinguished personalities from various backgrounds.

It also marks the 10th anniversary of FAAPA’s establishment, providing a platform for reflection on the future of African news agencies and the role they must play in the 21st century, respecting their diversity and unique characteristics.

Ghana's decision to suspend diplomatic relations with the ghostly "sadr" is a good step toward fostering relations between Rabat and Accra, said the Director General of the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Albert Kofi Owusu.
