In the final statement issued following the 24th Conference of Ministers Responsible for Cultural Affairs in the Arab World, the Arab ministers welcomed the efforts of Al-Quds Committee, chaired by HM King Mohammed VI, to protect and strengthen the cultural identity and civilizational role of the Holy City, through the achievements of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, which have helped assisting the resistance of Al-Quds.

The ministers called on the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), the Palestinian Ministry of Culture and the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, part of the Al-Quds Committee, to establish an urgent intervention plan identifying, first and foremost, the needs for reinforcing the civilizational identity and preserving the cultural heritage and dignity of Al-Quds, as well as supporting their resistance.

They also insisted on the need to set up a networking plan to join the actions of all concerned institutions, and to identify the necessary areas of intervention according to well-defined programs and clear deadlines.

The 24th session of the conference, chaired by Morocco’s Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, was marked by the adoption of a Moroccan proposal concerning the creation of an Arab forum for cultural and creative industries, as well as the creation of an Arab group to negotiate with major international digital companies to combat fake news and threats of radicalization and separatism in the digital space, through promoting Arab digital content.

Arab Ministers of Culture hailed, on Wednesday in Rabat, the efforts of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, to support the Palestinian cause and Palestinian people.
