A check in the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) database revealed that the 19-year-old suspect is wanted under a red notice issued by Stockholm’s National Central Bureau.

The suspect has been placed in police custody, pending his referral to the competent public prosecutor’s office. Meanwhile, the National Central Bureau “Interpol Office in Rabat,” under the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), has been tasked with notifying its Swedish counterpart of this arrest as part of the extradition procedure, according to the same source.

This arrest is part of Morocco’s commitment to implementing international security cooperation mechanisms, particularly in the pursuit and apprehension of individuals sought internationally for transnational crimes.

Moroccan police at the Bab Sebta checkpoint arrested a Swedish man on Thursday, wanted under an international arrest warrant issued by Sweden's judicial authorities, for his alleged involvement in the possession of assault weapons for criminal use, according to security sources.
