Snowfall ranging from 15 to 35 cm (6 to 14 inches) is expected on Sunday and Monday in the provinces of Azilal, Tinghir, Al Haouz and Ouarzazate.
Meanwhile, 5 to 10 cm (2-8 inches) of snow is forecast during the same period in the provinces of Midelt, Taroudant, Beni Mellal and Ifrane.
Minimum temperatures will be ranging from -05 to 01°C, while maximum are expected between 04 and 10°C from Sunday to Wednesday, in the provinces of Boulemane, Midelt, Ifrane, Beni Mellal, Azilal, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Figuig and Ouarzazate.
Heavy thundershowers (15-30 mm) are also forecast on Sunday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. in the provinces of Youssoufia, Rehamna, Marrakech, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Chichaoua, Settat, Khouribga, Benslimane and Fquih Ben Salah.
Snowfall on heights above 1,800 m (5,900 feet), a cold wave and thundershowers are expected across several Moroccan provinces, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) said Sunday in an “orange” alert bulletin.
