“The pavilion is stunning. I’ve visited Morocco several times, and the truth is that one never ceases to marvel at the splendor of the things you see there,” Insulza told MAP on the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition near Chile’s presidential palace.

He underscored the role of culture in strengthening international ties, calling it “the best way to understand a country and enhance bilateral relations.”

“When I was Minister of Foreign Affairs (1994-1999), I pushed for linking the cultural sphere with economic relations to promote trade”, recalled Insulza, who currently serves in the Senate.

The former FM also proposed the idea of a “Chile Week in Morocco,” mirroring the Santiago event, to promote Chilean culture and deepen mutual understanding between the two nations.

Chile's former Foreign Minister José Miguel Insulza expressed admiration for Morocco's rich and diverse craftsmanship on display in Santiago during the ongoing Morocco Week in Chile, held at the La Moneda Cultural Center, until December 8.
