Agadir Hosts Main Planning Meeting for African Lion 2025 Exercise

During this meeting, local and international planners are delving into the arrangements of the various activities scheduled in the 21st edition program of the African Lion exercise. 

These activities involve training related to operational areas, a planning exercise for General-Staff officers, combined and joint maneuvers, civil-military actions, as well as exercises aimed at countering attacks by weapons of mass destruction (Nuclear, Radiological, Biological, and Chemical). 

The multinational and multi-field exercise “African Lion 2025” will be held from May 12 to 23, 2025, in Agadir, Tan-Tan, Kénitra, Benguerir, and Tiznit. The main goal of this major exercise is to enhance intervention capabilities in a multinational context, develop interoperability, and facilitate exchanges between the armed forces of the participating countries with the goal of promoting peace, security, and stability in the region, the statement concludes.

The main planning meeting for "African Lion 2025" exercise is taking place from November 18 to 22, at the General Staff of South Zone in Agadir, according to a statement from the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
