To this end, crisis units have been set up at the Kingdom’s Consulates General in Valencia, Madrid and Seville, to monitor all cases requiring assistance.

In coordination with the crisis unit set up at the Ministry, the consular services in the regions affected by the floods, which have claimed at least 95 lives, are working hard to provide assistance and find out if there are any Moroccan victims.

The central crisis unit has set up numbers for any inquiries about a missing person or loss of contact with a family member. Toll-free numbers for the consular call center are (0800009948/49/50).

The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Valencia, the region hardest hit by the floods, has set up emergency numbers (+00 34 631 935 818 / +00 34 631 711 873) to enable Moroccan nationals to enquire about the condition of their loved ones.

The Kingdom’s Consulates General are in contact with the Spanish central and local authorities and with Moroccan associations to gather information on the situation of Moroccans in these regions, bearing in mind that so far only one fatal victim of Moroccan nationality has been reported.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, through its central crisis unit, and the Moroccan consular services in the Spanish regions affected by the floods, are mobilized to provide assistance to Moroccan nationals living in the areas affected by this natural disaster, which hit the south-east of the country.
