Moroccan Defense Officials Hold Talks with French Minister of Armed Forces

Talks focused on the ways to usher into the new era of strong ties between Morocco and France, the Reinforced Exceptional Partnership and the Strategic Roadmap for the years to come, launched by the Declaration signed by the two illustrious Heads of State, the National Defense Administration said in a press release.

The French Minister took the opportunity to highlight the important role played by the Kingdom of Morocco under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, as an effective actor and mediator in favor of stability and peace in Africa and in its Euro-Mediterranean neighborhood. 

The Moroccan side emphasized the continued commitment and strategy adopted by the Kingdom and dictated by the far-sighted vision of HM the King in managing security challenges, with a positive impact on our African and European neighborhood.

At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed their shared ambition and will to further consolidate their cooperation in the field of defense and security, the same source concluded.

On Very High Royal Instructions, Abdeltif Loudyi, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of the National Defense Administration, and Lieutenant General Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces and the Commander of the Southern Military Zone, received, on Tuesday at the Administration's headquarters in Rabat, France’s Minister of the Armed Forces, Sébastien Lecornu, accompanied by his diplomatic advisor and naval captain, Defense Attaché to the French Embassy in Rabat.
