This decision comes in the wake of the letter sent to the Sovereign by French President Emmanuel Macron, in which he affirmed that he considers “that the present and future of Western Sahara lie within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty,” as well as the tête-à-tête talks HM the King held with the French Head of State in Rabat on Monday.
This decision, which falls within the framework of the operationalization of France’s new position on the national issue, is in line with the positive momentum on the Sahara issue internationally.
