Speaking following a meeting in Rabat with Fouad Arif, Maghreb Arab Press (MAP) Managing Director, Al-Majbari said Morocco has undertaken several initiatives aimed at fostering dialogue between Libyan parties and supporting the organization of presidential and legislative elections.

“These efforts are helping Libya transition toward a phase of stability,” Al-Majbari said.

He also praised HM King Mohammed VI’s leadership in championing causes across the African continent and the Arab-Islamic world.

During the visit, MAP and the Libyan News Agency signed a cooperation agreement aimed at strengthening bilateral media ties. The agreement is expected to enhance professional collaboration between the two agencies, improve coordination, and support coverage of issues of mutual interest.

Al-Majbari, who toured MAP’s headquarters, expressed admiration for the agency’s digital and multimedia infrastructure, describing it as a model for Arab media.

“We are proud to have a news agency in the Arab world that can rival major international agencies. It is a voice for us, countering those who used to shape narratives on our behalf,” he said.

Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, has played a significant role in supporting reconciliation efforts in Libya, Managing Director of the Libyan Press Agency, Ibrahim Hadiya Al-Majbari, said on Friday.
