“We are very happy and proud to host Morocco as a guest of honor at the SIA, where it is represented through a magnificent stand”, Macron said in a statement to the press, before proceeding to the inauguration of the Show in the presence of Moroccan Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch, who also inaugurated the Moroccan pavilion, intended as a showcase for the richness and diversity of the country’s agriculture.
For the first time since its creation, the Paris International Agricultural Show (February 22-March 2) is featuring a foreign country, Morocco.
Underlining that this decision follows his recent state visit to the Kingdom, paid at the invitation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, President Macron added: “It is a great source of pride for our Agriculture Show and our farmers to have this very strong partnership.
At the heart of this show, held at the Exposition Center in the French capital, the Kingdom occupies a large 476 m² pavilion, showcasing products bearing the Moroccan terroir label, produced by cooperatives with centuries-old know-how, and agricultural products reflecting the richness and diversity of this sector.
The national pavilion also showcases other aspects of Moroccan authenticity and uniqueness, with cultural and artistic events and tastings of Moroccan products and dishes.
Organized under the motto “A French pride”, the 61st Paris International Agricultural Show will welcome over 600,000 visitors. Some 4,000 animals and 1,000 exhibitors will be on show over a 16-hectare area featuring 9 pavilions.
