“I am delighted and honored to see Morocco take part in this year’s Paris Book Festival as the country of honor,” said Dati at a press conference attended by His Majesty the King’s Ambassador to France, Samira Sitail.

This major cultural event will celebrate the Kingdom with a program which reflects its diverse literature.

Morocco will be represented by a pavilion inspired by the theme of the sea, symbolizing both the country’s rich maritime heritage and its commitment to a sustainable, innovative future.

Alongside writers and artists drawing their inspiration from Moroccan literature, book professionals, publishers, translators and cultural players will also be on hand to talk about the developments and prospects for books in Morocco.

Morocco will be the guest of honor at the Paris book Festival, to be held at the Grand Palais from April 11 to 13, as announced Thursday by French culture minister Rachida Dati.
