Mauritania: Moroccan Professional Drivers Can Now Obtain Three-Month Multiple-Entry Visa – Embassy

Anwarpress EN Friday 7 February 2025 - 15:47

“Acceding to the embassy’s procedures, the competent Mauritanian authorities have responded favorably to their (Moroccan drivers’) request, henceforth allowing them to obtain a visa valid for three months with multiple entry to Mauritanian territory,” the Kingdom’s Embassy said in a statement.

Prior to this new decision, Moroccan professional drivers were required to obtain a visa for each entry into Mauritanian territory, which had a negative impact on their business.

The Embassy calls on professional drivers and managers of international transport companies operating between Morocco and Mauritania, or between Morocco and Sahel and West African countries via Mauritanian territory, to apply for three-month multiple-entry visas via the platform dedicated to Mauritanian electronic visa applications, by ticking the “professional driver” function.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco would also like to express its deep gratitude to the relevant Mauritanian authorities for their immediate and positive response to this matter.

The Mauritanian authorities have convened to grant a multiple-entry visa valid for three months to Moroccan professional drivers operating in international road transport between Morocco and Mauritania, or between Morocco and West African and Sahel countries via Mauritanian territory, the Moroccan Embassy in Nouakchott announced.
