In a statement to the press following a meeting with Aziz Akhannouch, President of the National Rally of Independents (RNI), on the occasion of the annual EPP youth meeting on Euro-Mediterranean dialogue held in Morocco, Gabriel emphasized that “Morocco has a particularly important role to play” in this partnership, which “offers real solutions to real challenges.”

Thanks to this partnership, both sides will be able to overcome challenges in key areas such as economic development, energy, and agriculture, she said, stressing the need to further strengthen this partnership.

“We are grateful for the role that Morocco plays in relations with the European Union,” she noted, praising the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, which has allowed Morocco to accelerate its development pace and better face challenges.

Gabriel also emphasized that other countries could learn from the Moroccan model of integrating youth into development policies.

The strategic partnership between Morocco and the European Union (EU) is stable and beneficial for the citizens on both sides, said, on Friday in Rabat, Mariya Gabriel, Vice President of the European People's Party (EPP).
