The Agency aims to raise a million dollar to finance the program, involving the distribution of 2,000 food baskets with 22 basic products to meet the needs of Palestinian families, and more than 30,000 hot meals (1,000 meals a day), in addition to the distribution of Eid clothes to orphans, cared for by the Agency, Bayt Mal Al-Quds said in a statement.

During this charity event, held in commemoration of the anniversary of the Prophet’s Night Journey and Ascension (Al Israa wa Al Miaaraj), the Agency announced the holding of the annual Ramadan lantern “Fanous Ramadan” event, as well as the organization of a religious vigil, marked by Quranic recitals, Madih and religious chants.

Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director of Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui said that Moroccans are proud of their history and the bravery of their ancestors in defending Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa, stressing that Moroccans, led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, spare no effort to provide all necessary help and support for the people of Al-Quds.

Under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Agency is committed to preserving and bolstering this effort, while safeguarding the historical heritage of Moroccans in “Bayt Al-Maqdis” center, he noted.

A media campaign has also been launched via social networks up to the month of Ramadan, to call for donations, in compliance with the laws and regulations in force, the press release concludes.
