Morocco, Bahrain Set to Strengthen Cooperation in Social Development

The meeting was an opportunity for both parties to underline their determination to take joint action to give a strong impetus to bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of the socio-economic inclusion of people with disabilities, through the exchange of visits and the sharing of experiences.

At the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 44th Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs in Manama, Rachidi voiced Morocco’s readiness to support Bahrain’s efforts during its term at the head of the Council.

The 44th session of the Council was attended by several Arab ministers and officials in charge of social affairs, as well as representatives of specialized Arab and international organizations.

The Moroccan delegation included Morocco’s ambassador in Manama Mustapha Benkhayi, and the Director of Family, Childhood and Elderly Protection at the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family Mohamed Ait Azizi.

Discussions between Morocco's Secretary of State to the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family, in charge of Social Integration Abdeljebbar Rachidi, and Bahrain's Minister of Social Development Oussama bin Saleh Alawi, held in Manama on Wednesday, focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the area of social development.
