In particular, snowfall of 20 to 40 cm (8 to 15 inches) is expected in the provinces of Midelt, Azilal, Beni Mellal, Tinghir, Al Haouz, and Ouarzazate, according to an orange-level weather alert issued on Thursday by the DGM.
Meanwhile, snowfall between 10 and 20 cm (4 to 8 inches) is anticipated during the same period in the provinces of Ifrane, Chichaoua, Taroudant, and Boulemane, the DGM added.
Snowfall ranging from 10 to 40 cm (4 to 15 inches) is forecast for elevations above 1,500 meters from Saturday to Monday across several provinces in the Kingdom, the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) announced.
