During this operation, police arrested a 30-year-old woman and her 27-year-old accomplice, who were caught red-handed in possession and attempted marketing of 4,988 psychotropic tablets, including 4,500 hallucinogenic tablets and 488 ecstasy tablets, according to a security source.
Both suspects have been taken in police custody for investigation, under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, with the aim of uncovering the ins and outs of this case, identifying network’s connections and apprehending others involved in the illegal activity, the same source added.
Moroccan police thwarted an attempt to traffic 4,988 psychotropic tablets on Wednesday afternoon in Salé (Rabat twin city), as part of the ongoing efforts to combat illegal trafficking in psychotropic substances.
