According to El Adaoui, the aim of the meeting is strengthening bilateral institutional relations and preparing a draft agreement to be signed shortly in Riyadh.

She told MAP that discussions focused on the strategic orientations of the two institutions, particularly in terms of enshrining bilateral and international partnership in auditing activities.

The two parties also examined ways of ensuring the complementarity of institutional leadership within international organizations, she added.

Emphasis was also placed on opportunities for collaboration, boosted by the current positions of Saudi Arabia as vice-president of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), and Morocco as head of the General Secretariat of the African Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (AFROSAI) and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions with Jurisdictional Functions (JURISAI).

For his part, the President of the Saudi General Auditing Bureau praised the leadership role of the Court of Accounts in Morocco, expressing his willingness to strengthen the partnership between the two bodies, particularly in digital transformation, training, sharing and know-how, which will contribute to promoting institutional capacities and improving the effectiveness of audit action.

He also praised the Court’s high-level technical skills, its digital transformation and its management leadership.

First President of the Court of Accounts Zineb El Adaoui held talks in Rabat on Tuesday with President of the Saudi General Auditing Bureau Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, to discuss ways of bolstering audit cooperation between the two countries.
