The agenda for this visit, which takes place at the invitation of the Slovenian National Assembly’s Speaker Urška Klakočar Zupančič, includes several significant parliamentary meetings.

This visit will also serve as an opportunity to showcase the major initiatives undertaken by Morocco under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI, according to a statement from the House of Representatives.

The visit also aims to discuss ways to enhance strong bilateral parliamentary relations, strengthen dialogue, and coordinate efforts between the two institutions in various regional and international parliamentary forums, while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries.

Additionally, it seeks to contribute, as legislative and parliamentary institutions, to the promotion of international peace and security.

In November 2022, Urška Klakočar Zupančič paid a working visit to Morocco, which culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at consolidating cooperation between the two legislative bodies.

This memorandum seeks to develop friendly relations, strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation, and promote the exchange of visits between high-level parliamentary delegations, parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries, and members of both legislative institutions.

It also aims to intensify cooperation through the exchange of information and consultations on matters of common interest.

Morocco's House of Representatives Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami is undertaking a parliamentary working visit to the Republic of Slovenia on Monday.
