Anwarpress EN Sunday 8 December 2024 - 20:56

The first flight departed from Casablanca’s Mohammed V airport at 4:45 p.m. (local time) on Sunday, with 204 passengers aboard, the flagship carrier said in a press release.

As for the first flight from Toronto, it carried some 275 passengers, bringing the total of passengers on the first two inaugural flights to almost 480, according to the same source.

This new air connection is scheduled to operate three weekly flights every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, aboard Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Flights will depart from Casablanca at 4:45 p.m. (local time), arriving in Toronto at 7:25 p.m (LT), while return flights will leave Toronto at 9:30 p.m. (LT), landing in Casablanca at 10:50 a.m. (D+1), the press release adds.

The new Casablanca-Toronto route meets a much-anticipated need for Moroccans living in Canada, and joins the historic Casablanca-Montreal route, operating since 1975. It also reinforces RAM’s network in Americas, which currently includes direct flights linking its Casablanca hub to New York, Washington, Miami and Sao Paulo, resumed on December 07.

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) inaugurated on Sunday the direct scheduled service linking Casablanca to Toronto, Canada.
