ANRE Reform Targets Integration of National Energy Strategy into Unified Framework – French Expert

By appointing a seasoned expert in governance, Morocco is standing out, through the National Electricity Regulatory Authority (ANRE), as a major regional player in renewable energy, which will strengthens the country’s ability to drive its comprehensive energy strategy, Chaban Delmas told MAP.

The French expert noted that His Majesty King Mohammed VI has long laid a strong and enduring foundation for Morocco’s energy transition, emphasizing that this revamped governance tool is set to solidify Morocco’s strategic position as a key hub linking Europe, Africa, and the Atlantic basin, playing a pivotal role in reshaping global supply chains.

This enhanced governance framework for the energy sector is set to boost foreign investments, particularly from France, in Morocco’s renewable energy projects, he added.

Morocco is bolstering its energy vision, championed by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, by appointing a new president with recognized expertise and broadening the scope of its institutional energy regulatory body, French international affairs expert Guillaume Chaban Delmas highlighted.
