Health Sciences in Africa: Three Cooperation, Partnership Agreements Signed in Dakhla

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, and the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, aiming to formalize strategic collaboration on the development of health sciences in Africa.

Signed by the Deputy Director of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, Pr. Youns Bjijou, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amine Tahraoui, and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation, Mohamed Khalfaoui, this agreement seeks to promote scientific research and innovation, strengthen South-South cooperation, and develop strategic partnerships.”

A partnership agreement was also sealed by the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) and the African Academy of Health Sciences, in order to support the development of the Academy across the continent.

This partnership, signed by AMCI director, Mohamed Methqal, and the delegate director of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health, Pr. Youns Bjijou, aims to provide scholarships for AAHS students, enabling African students to pursue their studies in Morocco and African researchers to carry out their research projects in the Kingdom.

A protocol agreement was also signed between the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and Health and the network of medical competences of Moroccan expatriates (C3M), with the goal of formalizing cooperation between the two parties in order to implement and develop the African Academy of Health Sciences.

Initiated by Professor Youns Bjijou, Deputy Director of the Mohammed VI Foundation for Science and health, and the founding president of the international C3M, Pr. Samir Kaddar, this agreement primarily aims at promoting academic and scientific activities, reinforcing scientific cooperation, and developing public health initiatives.

Three cooperation and partnership agreements on health sciences in Africa were signed Saturday in Dakhla, on the sidelines of the launch ceremony of the African Academy of Health Sciences (AAHS).
