The ceremony, held at the Grand Mosque of Dakar and attended by the Foundation’s Secretary General, Mohamed Rifki, the Moroccan Ambassador to Senegal, Hassan Naciri, and representatives of various Senegalese Sufi brotherhoods, was celebrated in keeping with the Sufi, spiritual and sacred traditions that have always characterized Morocco’s shared religious practices. It featured readings of Quran verses and praises of the Prophet Sidna Mohammed, peace be upon him.

The event was enriched by the recitation of verses of Quran and the chanting of praises for the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Earlier, the Mohammed VI Foundation of African Ulema had organized a ceremony in the Senegalese capital to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the construction of the Great Mosque of Dakar, dedicated to highlighting the historical and spiritual ties between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Senegal.
The event underlined the importance of commemorating the anniversary of this religious building, a key element in preserving the shared religious memory of the two countries.
